In order to know when the lamp full charge, so all the rechargeable table lamp should need charge indicator. Indicator color can set by IC you want.

Here will share different indicator feature.

(1) Indicator in electric panel.

Mostly will set while charge, red light on, full charge blue light on.

The other, while charge red light on, full charge then off.

Advantage is you need to lower your head to see the indicator.

(2)Indicator near the charge port.

Most while charge red/blue light on, full charge off.

Disadvantage, sometimes hole is very small for someone to see it clear.

(3)Indicator in the switch.

While charge red/blue light on, full charge off.

This one compared will be better, because easy and convenient to see clear.

So how to choose the indicator. It depend on the design. If switch cannot do indicator. Then we can use another two way, the next better I think will be in electric panel, because make a hole the design look not very well. So a better design, we should consider the indicator how to do better.
